BrisStyle Indie Designer Markets is coming up on the 6th March at St Augustines Church, Racecourse Road, Hamilton. I'll be there with bells on!!!! Here's a sneak peek and some of my recent work that will be there....

Back at the torch!!!

After a lovely Christmas/New Year break camping, I have been back at the torch this week!!! Both teaching and working on some new items and having some fun!!! I have been making some gorgeous dragonfly beads, Goddesses for series/sets I am putting together and blowing bubbles on hollow mandrels (this needs more work ha ha!!!)(alot more work ha ha!!!!)

I will get back into the Murrini making again in a couple of weeks as well.

Monday Murrini's

We are currently holding "Monday Murrini" days at my Studio.....making & practicing some of Loren Stumps fabulous teaching. We are going through our notes and coming up with things we would like to make out of murrini....so that we will end up with a whole lot of little Murrini that we can use in our work.

I must say that it takes a while to make a piece and if it is large you need someone else there to help you pull....but WOW how satisfying at the end!!!

I'm loving working with others at the Studio....and even collaborating on some work at the moment....totally AWESOME!!!!

Back from an Amazing Workshop

Wow I have now recovered from the most amazing glass workshop I have ever taken. American Glass Artist & Teacher Loren Stump was in Melbourne for 2 weeks teaching his Loren1 class....and I was there!!! Learning all things glass including Murrini, sculptural and flowers etc for a paperweight. Loren is an amazing and very giving teacher and is worth his weight in gold!!! What a time....my head is buzzing & the ideas are REALLY flowing!!!

Pendants Workshop
